The receptionist called on Emma and Rita and we all gathered in the consultation room waiting for an update from the surgeon. Surgeon said he can’t believe he lasted this long because the abscess was huge. They used bovine (cow) tissue (heart tissue and valve) to make repairs. Surgeon says Sam tolerated the surgery well and his heart is beating strong!
Surgeon said “It’s all fixed!”.
More info as things develop. We are to be able to visit in about 2 hours.
