July 6, 2016

Ok I apologize for not being able to keep adding updates regularly as I had hoped.  I do manage to keep pretty busy and the best positive side effect is that I hit the pillow and go right to sleep without much waking throughout the night.  I keep a list of things I need to do and I do appreciate being able to compare the before and after and see that I have been able to make a positive difference.

I was relieved to be able to report good news last time as it is a little unsettling to think about having to see an oncologist.  As He has been, God was faithful once again.

Much has happened that I have failed to report but not so much on the health front; I keep wresting with whether to keep this blog going as my hope is that no further serious health events occur and no more prayer vigils are necessary.

We missed Michael’s graduation from Penn State as we were in FL but he’s worked hard and done well- Congrads Michael!

We did get to go to Courtney and Cody’s wedding on May 21st.  It was a very nice wedding in a rustic barn setting but unfortunately it rained that day and was rather chilly.  They made the best of it and it really turned out well.  The funniest line I recall hearing a best man use was at that wedding.  He said “I’m still single by choice… mostly the choice of the young ladies I have gone out with”.

At the end of May we got together to celebrate Buffy’s graduation from Harvard.  This was the culmination of a lot of work even while holding down multiple jobs.  Her Daddy was proud of her and we were too!  It’s always a good time when we are together with friends and family.  Have a serious health event and friends and family become even more important.

Finally in Mid June I went to visit family in Bedford.  It was the first time I had been able to see my cousins and Aunts in months.  I got to meet Newt (short for Newton Ronald) and yes Newt is the pooch; his Daddy is Mike.

Newt

He seems like a happy little pup and he has LOTS of energy.  Hopefully he’ll take to chasing rabbits as well as his predecessor did.

Rita and I continue to try to get our steps in.  Sometimes that means after dinner when the kitchen is all cleaned up.  It makes for a walk in the dark but sometimes that can provide a nice photo op like this one.
