Today was major pain from first light- it was great to be in my own bed and 6 hours of sleep easily beats just a quick doze here and there. Having had the hospital cut my neuropathy meds by 75% has left my feet feeling skinned raw. When your feet don’t have normal feeling then they also are not much help with balance. Getting vertical is hard sometimes in the morning without just having an appointment with a rib spreader. So I stood up and realized that between my feet and my chest I was hurting more than any time in the hospital. We do have some good meds but let me remind you not to do pain meds on an empty stomach as that is a sure way to make your day start even more poorly. Not to paint a negative picture, it was just not as perfect as I had hoped. This is still very much a learning process and Rita continues to be the most awesome caregiver. We are doing the full dose of Gabapentin today so hoping the neuropathy pain comes back under control quickly. This will be the classic run-on sentence for today. Blessings to you all

Glad you are home where you live the good life one day at a time.
Been following your blog. Fun fun fun. . So I understand that you’re part cow now.. Hey Cowboy…. How now heart of cow.
Looking on then bright side, winter is the best time for recovery. It drives me nuts sitting around not being able to do anything when it’s nice out…That said, I will admit that with every passing year, I feel less and less guilty for not being productive.
What can I help with? You need to let people help you…not for yourself but for them. It’s frustrating watching a friend or family member go through something like this and not be able to do anything. Let people help.
