So, there are several large displays in the waiting area that show the status of each patient. I put two small yellow dots in the image above next to Sam’s entry that shows his start times in “Preop”, “In OR”, and “Start” of the procedure. We’re all looking forward to seeing the time “Out” and the start of “Recovery”. As the minutes tick by, our spirits remain upbeat and we even get an occasional giggle out of Emma as she texts her friends. We had a nice lunch in the cafeteria where the food was good and the atmosphere was bright. I’d say there are at least 35 people in the waiting area here all doing as we are…Waiting for word from the hospital staff that their loved one’s are in Post-Op and for a sign that it is ok to go visit them. When I say this is like watching water boil, I am sure you all understand. It’s like I told Sam while we made our through the hospital to check in, he is no longer on his own time, he is now on hospital time and as always, on God’s time. He just needs to take it all in stride. I should have kept my mouth shut!! Ugh.
Jack and I continue to pray for God’s hand upon you, guidance for this journey, and healing to your body.
Do you know how much of a blessing you are being John? The Gospel For Lay People….Just be more concerned about meeting the needs of others than being sure your wants are getting met ….that’s the Jesus in you John…caring for Sam and Rita while caring for the folks waiting to hear by way of your messages. Being the hands and feet of Christ. Thanks so much.
The glory is all to God. 100%. We prayed before we left that the things we did and said today would be pleasing to the Almighty. And, it’s easy to take care of Godly people. The Rose family is self sufficient in their walk of faith so hanging out with them is a pleasure on all fronts. Lots of love to you, Wendy, from Emma and Rita and I. Thanks for your reply!
