Coming to the city was a bit overwhelming for both Sam and I. Neither one of us have much experience with public transportation so getting around in the city was a bit of a stressor. The lady I’m staying with suggested using “Uber.” I had previously heard about it but had never had the opportunity to try it. What an awesome service. My phone already had an uber app so all I had to do was register which was very easy. The GPS on your phone grabs your location and shows a map with a pin. You add the destination you want to go to and it estimates your fare. If it’s a surge period (high demand) it tells you and asks if you want to be notifed when it drops. How cool is that? Long story short I requested my uber and a pleasant Christian brother (God continues to place fellow believers in our path) picked me up in less than 5 mins. He brought me right to the front door of the hospital. The fare was less than half the price of a taxi. I’ll be using Uber again.
Sam is feeling rough today. He’s dealing with more nausea. His breakfast went uneaten for the most part. We are waiting for anti nausea medication again. Once he’s feeling better he will be going for a stroll. If all goes well the chest tube should come out this afternoon. This should relieve some of the chest pain and make breathing deep easier. Please continue to pray for quick and complete healing for Sam. Also that he doesn’t get discouraged when things don’t move as quickly as we want them to.
Aurita,
I’m so glad that your commuting is going well for you. Going into this I was extremely worried about Sam, but I was also concerned about your being in the city alone.
God does surely provide.
Love and prayers to both you and Sam!
Linda
Thank you Linda for all prayers and support. God is watching over us both.
